I made a "chan" for Vietnamese
VOZ at home

I created an Imageboard site specifically for some of my Vietnamese communities and friends. I started having this idea since the recent backslash related to Discord and many other social media platforms forcing their users to comply with their new policy about age verifications and identifications (think about the children!!).

So, to have a solution for that, instead of finding a new alternative, I've decided to created an imageboard site named "Komari-chan". Imageboard has been a pretty aged format of Internet forums, some mostly known such as 2chan or 4chan, but it hasn't been a major format among my country, other than VOZ as the only major forum for techies. That is why I created Komari-chan to populate the format of imageboard, as it aslo a way to show the free speech among everyone (of course while still comply within the Vietnam Law Enforcement).

The primary difference between imageboards and traditional forums is that anybody can make a post without registering an account or providing any personal information. This lowers the barrier to entry, protects user identities and focuses on what is said, rather than who says it.

The site is still in a developing phase, so issues are not avoidable. I'm still exprimenting this new format, the current cost for this site right now is about $5 per month, and if it actually success (which I'm doubt), I will upgrade the VPS for a better site perfomance.

So, if you wanna try the imageboard format and ditching other social media/messaging platform (fuck you Zalo btw), give Komari-chan a visit today!
